About Us

Healthy Smart Homes (HSH) was established in 2014 and has evolved into providing an innovative transformative economic and social justice structure and strategy.

This Strategy is to advocate and support home and commercial real estate ownership.

In addition, the strategy is to work in partnership with other non-profits, government agencies and foundations to prevent or minimize the transference of wealth from communities that are highly adversely impacted, especially during economic downturns, pandemics and cyclical gentrification regardless of a boom or bust economy.

HSH addresses wealth transfer due to 400 years of systemic barriers that reinforce inequitable economic institutions and exclusionary social systems. Without intervention, the current pandemic-induced economic depression will be the largest transfer of wealth in the history of the United States.

Currently, we are located in the Greater Seattle and Boston Areas.

Mission

HSH is seeking to develop equitable thriving communities by stemming the health and wealth gap through a systemic transformative equitable economic mobility strategy, resulting in residential and/or commercial ownership to building and sustain wealth communities that have been disproportionately impacted due to inequitable systems.

In addition, through a pre-emptive strike, we assist in minimizing homelessness and the transference of wealth from families and communities that are highly disproportionately affected by economic downturn, gentrification and pandemic crises.

Due to the boom-bust nature of our economy and institutional barriers to equity, families and communities either face loss of generational wealth or are prevented from building and obtaining wealth.

Goals

Assist individuals and families in obtaining a home, and transfer that home to future generations.

Assist in stimulating and stabilizing an economy by ensuring families, landlords and lenders obtain the income they need to thrive. A stable economy allows municipalities to obtain taxes from businesses that are patronized by consumers.

Build healthy communities in which families and businesses support each others' need to live a healthy and prosperous quality of life.

Values

Healthy Smart Homes "Values" are aligned with the Social Determinants of Health outlined by the Center for Disease Control.

HSH believes that "...the conditions in the places where people live, learn, work, and play affect a wide range of health risks and outcomes..." (Center for Disease Control)
